Old Saybrook Boys’ Soccer Wins Shoreline Title, Field Hockey Falls in Final

Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football traveled to Ellington on Nov. 3 and won 30-22.
Field Hockey
Old Saybrook field hockey opened the Shoreline Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed. In the semifinals on Oct. 30, the Rams faced No. 3 Haddam-Killingworth and took down the visitors 1-0 in overtime. Kendall Dobratz scored the game-winner in the first overtime period, and junior goalkeeper Erin Fiorelli had two saves in net.
In the championship game on Nov. 2, Old Saybrook faced top-seeded North Branford and fell in a tight 2-1 game. Dobratz scored the lone goal for the Rams, assisted by Lila Cadley, and Fiorelli recorded eight saves in goal.
Girls’ Soccer
The Old Saybrook girls’ soccer team was the No. 6 seed in the Shoreline Conference Tournament. On Oct. 28, the Rams faced No. 3 Cromwell in the quarterfinals and fell 6-0.
Boys’ Soccer
Rams boys’ soccer stood as the No. 1 seed in the Shoreline Conference Tournament. After earning a first-round bye, Old Saybrook hosted No. 5 Portland in the semifinals on Oct. 30 and won 2-0.
In the championship game on Nov. 3, Old Saybrook faced No. 2 East Hampton and won 4-0 to earn the conference crown.
