Westbrook Boys’ Soccer Grabs First Win; Girls Take Loss to Morgan

The Westbrook boys’ soccer team played two matches and split their decisions last week. With these results, the Knights’ record moved to 1-4 on the season.
On Oct. 14, Westbrook hosted Morgan and took a 4-0 defeat. Morgan scored twice in each half.
Three days later, the Knights picked up their first win of the season in a 2-1 home win against East Hampton. Westbrook was bolstered to victory thanks to goals from Luca Troop and Zach Zanzalari. Tyler Hoadley had five saves in net for the Knights. Girls’ Soccer
The Knights played just one game last week, they are still hunting for their first victory of the campaign. The loss moves Westbrook’s record to 0-5 on the season.
On Oct. 14, the Knights head to the Indian River Complex to face off with Morgan and took a 6-0 loss to the Huskies. Morgan got out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and built on the advantage the rest of the way. Adriana Stranieri had eight saves for the Knights in the loss.
