If you recognize the name Shoreline Pet Lodge, it could be for several reasons–perhaps it's your go-to spot for the furriest member of your family, or maybe it's because they've been in business for 31 years. Or, quite possibly, you know the name because of the eye-catching ads they publish in which animals can be seen "talking" to each other. Even if you don't have a pet, you really can't help but read them.

Shoreline Pet Lodge takes care of your dogs and cats when you travel, treating treat them as members of their family. The pet care industry has changed over the time that the group has been in business. Eight years ago, they built a new doggie daycare with indoor and outdoor access. The staff has participated in professional development and course work with Dog Gurus to increase knowledge of safe off -leash dog play, and they are moving toward smaller playgroups that allow for higher quality of play based on the dogs needs or interests.

Dogs need exercise, enrichment, mental stimulation, and periods of rest. Every dog's activities are hand selected based on the dog. Shoreline Pet Lodge doesn't use a cookie cutter approach. Your dog deserves individualized, personal care like they receive at home. Activities include agility, loose leash walking, basic commands, Fit Paws, nose work, toys, and games. Also included are periods of high energy exercise complemented by rest periods with soothing music and hugs.

This advice was provided by Shoreline Pet Lodge, located at 157 Pine Orchard Road, Branford. For more information, visit shorelinepetlodge.com or call 203-488-9660.
