Academy Factsheet

The Ad Hoc Academy Guidance Building Committee is tasked with compiling information on public and private use options for the Academy School to be put before the public in the form of a poll. The poll, conducted by GreatBlue Research, begins Monday, Nov. 26. The following information is provided on the Town of Madison website:

GreatBlue Research Phone Poll: The phone poll is intended to provide a random representative sampling of Madison residents from a pool of approximately 10,000 phone numbers of registered voters and those owning real property in Madison. GreatBlue will collect 400 completed calls meeting these criteria. Calling will be between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday. All calls will be identified as "GreatBlue" or "860-740-4000" or "-4005, -4006 or -4007".

GreatBlue Research Online Survey: To supplement the phone poll, the same questions will be available in an online survey. The online survey is a voluntary option, designed to ensure that all residents wishing to have a voice are able to participate. At the request of the polling firm, GreatBlue Research, the Academy Building Guidance Committee has scheduled the start of the online survey for the week of December 3, one week after the start of the telephone survey. This start date will minimize duplicate responses and help ensure that the pool of possible respondents to the random sample telephone survey remains as large as possible. The online survey will run for two weeks and has a maximum response capacity of 2,000. The link to the online survey will be posted on December 3.
