Police Incident Report for Nov. 9 to 15
The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Clinton
Wednesday, Nov. 9
No arrests were made.
• An 18 year-old man of Park Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:24 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a report of suspicious activity on Waterside Lane. In the same incident a 16 year-old and a 17 year-old were charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana. The 16 year-old was also charged with possession of tobacco by a minor in a public place.
• A complaint about animals was investigated on Hickory Hill Road at 8:39 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated on College Street at 4:40 p.m.
• A dispute/disturbance was investigated on Pine Place at 6:13 p.m.
• A trespass complaint was investigated on Old Nod Road at 10:55 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 10
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 4:10 p.m.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Blaine Avenue at 5:06 p.m.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Walkley Mill Road at 7:13 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 11
No arrests were made.
• A 20 year-old Deep River man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:49 a.m. for improper number of headlights, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on High Street at North Night Street.
• A burglary was investigated on Indian Drive at 5:34 a.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Pine Place at 7:45 a.m.
• A noise complaint was investigated on Kenilworth Drive at 7:53 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 12
No arrests were made.
• A 57 year-old Middletown man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:14 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to have tail lamps following a motor vehicle stop on Hurd Bridge Road near Killingworth Turnpike.
• A 23 year-old man of South Parkway was issued a citation at 12:59 a.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Liberty Street at Fairy Dell Road.
• A 43 year-old New London man was issued a citation at 1:57 p.m. for simple trespass on East Main Street.
• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated on Ninety Rod Road at 9:49 a.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Menunketesuck Drive at 11:08 a.m.
Sunday, Nov. 13
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Grove Street at 8:49 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 14
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated on Menunketesuck Drive at 10:54 a.m.
• A neighbor dispute was investigated on River Road at 1:27 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
No arrests were made.
• A 47 year-old woman of Now Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:41 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of registration plates, and failure to obey a control signal following a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street.
• Police attempted to serve warrants on East Main Street at 4:26 p.m. and on Old Nod Road at 4:32 p.m.
• A hazardous condition was investigated on Cow Hill Road at 9:42 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 9
No arrests were made.
Thursday, Nov. 10
• A 61 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 3:03 p.m. and charged with making a false statement in the second degree and falsely reported an incident in the first degree. She was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Friday, Nov. 11 to Sunday, Nov. 13
No arrests were made.
Monday, Nov. 14
No arrests were made.
• An alleged assault was investigated at a private residence on Old Clinton Road during the evening on Nov. 13. The assault was said to have occurred during a pool tournament. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Trooper Gregory Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
• A 35 year-old Higganum man was arrested at 8:34 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.
• A 21 year-old Killingworth woman was issued a citation at 11:32 a.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart after the 2004 Jeep Liberty she was operating eastbound on Boston Post Road just before the Westbrook Height Road intersection struck the rear of a stopped 2003 Hyundai Sonata operated by a 79 year-old Clinton woman. No injuries were reported or observed.
Old Saybrook
Wednesday, Nov. 9
• A 39 year-old woman of Cottage Place was arrested at 9 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 28 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with soliciting without a permit. He was also arrest on a warrant held by Westport police.
• A 21 year-old New Haven woman, a 22 New Haven man, and a 28 year-old New Haven man were issued citations at 2:30 p.m. for soliciting without permit
Thursday, Nov. 10
No arrests were made.
Friday, Nov. 11
• A 34 year-old New London man was arrested at 8:32 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree. In the same incident a 58 year-old Clinton man was charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
Saturday, Nov. 12
• A 32 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 6:29 p.m. and charged with four counts of failure to appear in the second degree.
Sunday, Nov. 13
No arrests were made.
• A 20 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:36 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license of registration suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and traveling unreasonably fast following a motor vehicle stop on Ingham Hill Road at Boston Post Road.
Monday, Nov. 14
• A 51 year-old Niantic man was arrested at 12:29 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A 25 year-old Norwich man was arrested at 11:42 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 15 year-old was arrested at 1:51 p.m. and charged with obscenity, risk of injury to a minor, and possession or transmission of child pornography.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
• A 37 year-old Gales Ferry man was arrested at 10:17 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree on an outstanding warrant.
• A 55 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 4:09 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, interfering with an officer, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fourth degree, criminal impersonation, two counts of failure to appear in the second degree, and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana. In the same incident a 54 year-old New Haven man was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.
