Police Incident Report for Feb. 2 to Feb. 4

Sunday, Feb. 2
No arrests were made.
• A 58 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:31 p.m. for evading responsibility (evading the scene of an accident) and failure to obey a stop sign. He was operating a 2004 Ford Explorer westbound on McVeagh Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the Pond Meadow Road intersection. The Ford went through the intersection and struck a closed gate at Clinton Nurseries located at 517 Pond Meadow Road in Westbrook. The gate sustained moderate damage. This same operator was later arrested by Old Saybrook police for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Monday, Feb. 3
No arrests were made.
• A 59 year-old woman of Seaside Avenue was issued a citation at 12:36 p.m. for traveling unreasonably fast after the 2000 Nissan Xterra she was operating westbound on Old Clinton Road went off the right side of the roadway, struck a stone wall, and rolled onto its roof.
Tuesday, Feb. 4
• A 53 year-old Middlefield man was arrested at 5:04 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
