Guilford Police Incident Report for April 26 and 27
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.
Thursday, April 26
• A 30 year-old East Haven resident was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.
• A 42 year-old Madison resident was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
• A 49 year-old Mulberry Point Road resident was charged with disorderly conduct.
• A fire in a yard was reported on West Street, 5:41 a.m.
• Animal nuisance, five wandering goats in yard, Long Hill Road, 2600 block; property owner would like owner of goats spoken to by police.
• A youth riding a “long board” skateboard in the middle of Saw Mill Road was reported at 1:24 p.m.
• Criminal mischief, vehicle vandalized overnight, Boston Post Road, 2400 block.
• A resident reported fraudulent activity on her bank account.
• The Dept. of Children and Family Services was notified to respond to a request for the check of a welfare of a person in need of supplies for a baby, Valley Motel, 500 Route 80, 8:02 p.m.
• Family dispute, Mulberry Point Road, 9:40 p.m.
• A resident reported hearing a noise and seeing a blue flash outside her home during a power surge, East Avenue, 9:50 p.m. Fire department personnel were on site to check the area.
Friday, April 27
• No arrests were made.
• An incident involving animal bites was reported at a View Place address, 2:56 a.m.
• Police received a report from a caller concerning information the caller had received about an underage party at a residence, 6:34 p.m.
• A deer carcass was moved off the road after it was reported struck by a vehicle, Boston Post Road, 100 block, 9:45 p.m. The Dept. of Transportation was notified.
• Family dispute, Echo Point Road, 11:08 p.m.
• A sick skunk was reported in a yard on Goose Lane, 200 block, 3:43 p.m.
• Police were asked to check the welfare of an elderly female with a walker along Boston Post Road, 900 block, 3:34 p.m.
• Family dispute, South Hoop Pole Road, 6:37 p.m.
• An intoxicated female harassing passengers at the train station on Old Whitfield Street was reported at 7:43 p.m. She was picked up by a parent.
