Judith D'Errico-Buonomo, 62, North Haven
Judith D’Errico-Buonomo, 62, of Bradley Street, North Haven, died peacefully on June 11, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Antonio Buonomo. Judith was born in New Haven on March 21, 1950, daughter of the late John and Annetta Dudek D’Errico. She was a former manager at Jimmie’s of Savin Rock and had been a former customer service manager at Elliptipar. In addition, she was a former PTA president at the Savin Rock Community Center, West Haven; a former West Haven 1st District Democratic Town Committee chairwoman; a former 5th term 1st District councilwoman for the City of West Haven; and a volunteer at the Montowese Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children Kimberly Redmond of Lavonia, Georgia, and Richard C. and Kristin H. Harvey, both of North Haven; her stepchildren Maria I. Buonomo-Hall and Alfonso Buonomo, both of Harwinton, and Tammy L. Buonomo-Craig of Hubert, North Carolina; two sons-in-law, Richard A. Redmond and USMC 1st Sgt Jeffrey Craig; three grandchildren, Tyson S. Hall, Jr., John L. Hall, and Antonio A. Buonomo; and three brothers, Anthony D’Errico of Florida, Michael D’Errico of Connecticut, and John D’Errico of Georgia. She was the sister-in-law of Madelyn and Mike Guarnieri of North Haven, and Geppino and Giusi Buonomo, Maria and Michele Lattanzio, and Alfonso Buonomo, all of Italy. She is also survived by a special cousin and friend, Susan Duarte of North Haven, and many other cousins and family. She was predeceased by her stepson John Buonomo and three brothers, Peter, Dominic, and Thomas D’Errico.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Thursday, June 14, at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Church at 10 a.m., followed by entombment in the All Saints Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Clelian Adult Day Center, 261 Benham St., Hamden, CT 06514.
