Elsie E. Lipkvich, 96, East Haven, formerly of Branford
Elsie Estrom Lipkvich, 96, of East Haven, formerly of Branford, died at her home on June 2. She was the widow of Francis P. Lipkvich. Mrs. Lipkvich was born in Branford on Oct. 6, 1915, daughter of the late Charles I. and Mary Anderson Estrom. She was a lifelong resident of Branford and an active member of Tabor Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Altar Guild – Miriam Circle and the Senior Member Ministry. In addition, she volunteered for the Branford Bloodmobile.
She is survived by two nieces, Ruthann Meoli and her husband George and Roberta Monaco and her husband Prisco, and two nephews, John Carlson and his wife Debbie and Thomas Tamer, Jr. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Estrom, and two sisters, Ines Tamer and Doris Carlson.
Friends are invited to a funeral service on Thursday, June 14, at 11 a.m., at Tabor Lutheran Church, followed by burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tabor Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 45 Tabor Dr., Branford, CT 06405. The W.S.
