Judith Ann Morrissey, 73, Northford
Judith Ann (Burns) Morrissey, 73, of Northford, wife, mother, and grandmother, died on Aug. 20 in Branford. She was the wife of Donald J. Morrissey. She was born on July 31, 1938 in Springfield, Massachusetts, daughter of the late John F. and Alba Mayo Burns. Mrs. Morrissey graduated in 1956 from Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts, and from Bay Path Junior College in 1958. She married Donald Morrissey of Springfield in 1960, and they had four children.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Joseph P. Morrissey of Norwalk, Joanne Morrissey of Northford, and John Morrissey of Concord, Massachusetts; two daughters-in-law, Kelly Morrissey and Aisling Morrissey; and five grandchildren, Tyler Morrissey of Northford, Alex and Lucas Morrissey of Norwalk, and Siobhan and Eoin Morrissey of Concord, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her siblings, Joan Shibley and Nancy Osgood of Agawam, Massachusetts, John F. Burns, Jr. of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Barbara McCarthy of Madison. She was predeceased by a son, James M. Morrissey.
Her funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home on Aug. 24 for a mass of Christian burial at St. Monica Church. Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield, Massachusetts.
