Jeffrey C. Lincoln peacefully passed away at his home in Guilford on Nov. 21.
He leaves behind his wife Pamela Lincoln; his two brothers, Anthony Lincoln and Russell Lincoln (Lynn); his son Jonathan Lincoln (Robin); his daughter Catherine Cargill (Tim); and five grandchildren, Charles, Bridget, Megan, Henry, and Annabel. He was an incredibly kind, loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather and will be tremendously missed by all.
Jeffrey was born on July 20, 1946, in Hartford and grew up in West Hartford. He was the son of Charles Gilbert Lincoln and Barbara (Waite) Lincoln. After graduating from Kingswood School, Jeff earned his BA in Biology from Wesleyan University and then his MBA from the University of New Haven. From 1969 to 1972 Jeff served in the US Army. Jeff’s professional career included Yale University, where he worked for many years as an IT manager.
Jeff and his family lived in Guilford for more than 40 years, and spent summers at Groton Long Point. He was actively involved in the community as a Boy Scout leader for many years. This enabled him to participate in camping, canoeing, and biking, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was one of the founders of Guilford Cable TV and believed in creating an environment where people could share information. His passion for math led him to become the treasurer for several organizations, Connecticut Parkinson’s Working Group and Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church. He loved swimming, playing his guitar, hiking, and spending time with his family.
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church, 297 Boston Post Rd. in Madison. After the service, family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Strong House Adult Day Center, 546 Durham Rd., Madison, CT 06443. This wonderful organization provided a loving place for Jeff to be social and entertained when his disease made normal activities difficult.
