Patricia Ann Pope of Branford died Jan. 20 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of the late William C. Pope. Mrs. Pope was born September 13, 1947, in Derby, daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn Hourigan Stevenson.
She worked for 32 years at A.D.P. in Milford as a payroll clerk, retiring in 2008. Patricia was an awesome mother and wonderful friend who will be greatly missed. She was an avid crafter, including knitting and various arts and crafts.
She is survived by her children Christine L. Blakney of Branford and Raymond T. Graham (Stephanie Engelmann) of Port Jefferson, New York; her grandchildren Heather Blakney, Raymond Graham, Peter (Cheryl) Blakney, and Kevin Blakney; great-grandchildren Johnathon and Jaxon; her sister Ellen (Richard) Werner of Charlotte, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friends Linda Nolf and Louise Share.
Her family would like to thank the staffs at Artis and Connecticut Hospice for the care and compassion given to Patricia during her final illness.
Visiting hours will be Jan. 25 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. A funeral service will be held Jan. 26 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
