Margaret Tubb, a resident of Guilford, passed away on Sept. 12 at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 19, 1934, in New York City to Anna and Frank Ife.
After high school, she worked as a secretary at J.C. Penney in New York City. She married her husband of 58 years, John Tubb, on Jan. 17, 1960, in Douglaston, New York. Margaret worked alongside John managing his graphic design business for more than 30 years. Family meant the world to her and she was a dedicated caregiver to her children, grandchildren, sister, and parents. Throughout her life she always put others first and expected nothing in return. As a result, she had the unwavering adoration of her entire family and all those whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Linda (Bob) Bucci of Fairfield and Barbara (Ken) Feinberg of Guilford; her adoring granddaughters Robin, Marissa, Michaela, and Sydney; and devoted granddog Coco. She is predeceased by her sister Geraldine Knox and sister-in-law Evelyn Ife.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Guilford Meals on Wheels, 310 State St., Ste. #200, Guilford, CT 06437.
