'Give a Cop the Bird' Nov. 23 at Branford Big Y

The Branford Police Department will give residents the opportunity to "Give a Cop the Bird," Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event, in its fifth year, is held in cooperation with Branford Big Y, 1075 West Main Street and benefits Branford Food Pantry.

As part of the fundraiser to benefit local Branford families for the upcoming holiday season, Branford Police Officers will be collecting frozen turkeys as well as non-perishable foods, such as peanut butter, jelly or jam, stew, tuna fish, juices, cereal, hearty soups, canned chicken or pork, hash and other meat-containing foods.

Non-profit Branford Food Pantry serves the Town of Branford by providing weekly groceries to families in need, and full turkey dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas. For more information about the Branford Food Pantry and its efforts, visit www.branfordfoodpantry.org
