Voters in Chester have returned Democrat Lauren Gister to the first selectman seat in the Nov. 5 election. Of the town's 2,725 registered voters, 1091 or 40 percent cast a vote. Unofficial vote tallies follow; official results and analysis will appear shortly at and in next week's Courier.
