Middletown Man Arrested for 2017 Robbery of Westbrook Valero
Detectives from the Connecticut State Police's Central District Major Crime Squad have arrested a man for his involvement in the 2017 armed robbery of a Valero Service Station in Westbrook.
According to police, Richard McTague, 50, of Middletown, was served an active arrest warrant at the Troop F Barracks in Westbrook on charges stemming from the March 7, 2017 robbery of Valero, 1309 Boston Post Road, Westbrook.
McTague is currently incarcerated for unrelated crimes and is under the supervision of the Connecticut Department of Corrections. Following his arrest, McTague was turned back over to the custody of the Department of Corrections.
He was charged with robbery in the first degree. A $100,000 court set bond was placed on McTague, and he appeared in court on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
