An Evening to Honor ‘Smitty’ in Deep River

The public is invited join the Deep River community in celebrating the legacy of the late Dick Smith with the renaming of the Town Hall to the Richard H. Smith Town Hall.

Smith, known to most as “Smitty,” was the town’s longest-serving first selectman when he died last March.

The ceremony will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Town Hall, starting with a selectmen’s meeting at 6 p.m. and the dedication ceremony at 6:30 p.m. A reception will follow in the Town Hall Auditorium. RSVP to Gina 860-526-6020.
