10th Annual Apple Pie Festival for FHF
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Families Helping Families (FHF) hosts its 10th annual Apple Pie Festival at the Clinton Town Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. A highlight of this event is a Best Apple Pie Contest, which has both an adult and a youth division (ages 10-14). The winner of the adult division in addition to winning a cash prize also wins the coveted Crystal Apple. There are also prizes for winners in the youth division.
Each person who makes a monetary donation or donation of nonperishable food items will be automatically entered into a drawing for a special raffle prize. This year, festival will also feature some unique gift baskets.
All food donations will be given to the Clinton Food Pantry to help re-stock the shelves. Monetary donations will help fund FHF’s five community outreach programs.
This year Steward’s Ace Hardware is sponsoring the Apple Pie Contest and in addition will provide a drill/driver set as an a raffle prize.
Additionally, Shore TV & Appliance will donate a flat screen TV as a raffle prize and Christo Jewelers will donate a pair of diamond earrings valued at $1,400. Raffle tickets for the diamond earrings will be available for $5.
