Your New Buddy, Bruiser
Bruiser is a two-year-old Pomeranian/Pekingese mix. Bruiser had a hard start early in his life by living in one room in a house and never able to experience and socialize to the outdoor world. Since being in the caring hands of the Valley Shore Animal Welfare League (VSAWL) staff, Bruiser has come leaps and bounds and is now enjoying taking walks and sniffing all things new. Bruiser does begin shy with unfamilliar people and situations, but once he bonds to a person, he is a happy-go-lucky little pup who will follow everywhere! Bruiser prefers a quiet home with no other animals and with someone who will let him soak up all the attention and belly rubs he wants. He is a low-energy dog who would make a great companion for someone. Bruiser is up to date on his vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, and is neutered. For more information, call VSAWL at 860-399-7561.
VSAWL is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter located in Westbrook, open five days a week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Calling ahead is recommended for availability. All of the animals live on site and can be viewed during hours for consideration for adoption. Visit www.valleyshoreanimalwelfareleague.org and Facebook at www.facebook.com/ValleyShoreAnimalWelfareLeague to see who else is waiting for a home at the shelter. The shelter also accepts relinquished cats and dogs based on its guidelines for animal intakes and if space is available.
