Pedestrian in Crosswalk Struck by Car

At 5:55 p.m. on March 14, a car driven by Mavis Terry, 71, of Branford, struck a juvenile pedestrian in the crosswalk at the intersection of Broad and Whitfield Streets in the town center.
Terry was traveling westbound on Broad Street when her vehicle struck the juvenile. The juvenile was taken by ambulance to the Yale Children's Hospital for treatment. Terry was cited for failure to grant right of way to pedestrians at a crosswalk.
The accident is being investigated by Officer Christopher Massey.
