Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour Coming To The Shoreline
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, will take place Saturday, May 4, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Andrews Memorial Town Hall, 54 East Main Street, Clinton.
The evening, hosted by the Madison and Clinton land trusts, will feature a series of short award-winning environmental and adventure films from around the world. Festival-goers will see 11 short films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, indigenous cultures, and more. The evening’s emcee is Bill Lucey, the Long Island Soundkeeper with Save the Sound.
The festival’s special guest is Pete Malinowski, founder of the Billion Oyster Project, a nonprofit organization on a mission to restore oyster reefs to New York Harbor through public education initiatives. Malinowski is featured in the festival’s anchor film, “The Big Oyster.” He will discuss the film with Bill Lucey and the audience after it is shown.
Tickets are sold online for $35. Visit madisonlandtrust.org/film-festival/ to purchase tickets and see the film festival trailer.
