The Right Choice
I support Chester first selectman candidate Cindy Lignar and selectman candidate Pat Bandzes. Both women possess the professional business and necessary experience and core values to lead our town toward a more secure future.
Both Lignar and Bandzes have a clear understanding of the issues facing our town and are well prepared to step into the Board of Selectmen (BOS) executive leadership roles. Both have been collaborating with the BOS on various infrastructure projects. Lignar completed the CT Department of Transportation Road Safety Audit submission. They have been assisting the BOS with a proposal to improve cell service in Chester. Lignar is team leader for Chester’s Sustainable CT team which was recently awarded the prestigious Silver Certification. Bandzes chairs the Economic Development Commission where Lignar is also a member that advises the BOS on ways to promote, support, and improve economic development. Both have been regularly attending and participating in BOS and other board and commission meetings for the past several years. And Bandzes was a former selectman and Board of Finance member in Middlefield prior to moving to Chester.
Lignar and Bandzes deeply care about our community and residents. I quickly recognized both Lignar's and Bandzes' dedication, leadership, experience, accomplishments, and tireless service to our town after working with them on various initiatives. They worked diligently on the Chester Governance Study committee, analyzing data, researching and interviewing other municipalities, and compiling the final report that detailed various governance options for Chester. This report is being used by the Charter Commission and is currently the benchmark report by the CT Council of Government & Municipalities for other CT towns.
Together, Lignar and Bandzes have the experience, know-how, and drive to govern our town. Please join me in voting for Cindy Lignar and Pat Bandzes as they are the right choice for Chester.
