Thank you to all of those Old Saybrook residents and business owners who preserve and protect their growing and mature healthy shade trees! Besides providing visual beauty and homes for wildlife, you are helping to purify the air we breathe, buffer noise and wind, absorb rainfall, and provide energy-saving shade.

I hope that everyone in our community understands the value of trees and recognizes that there are very real societal health and economic benefits to protecting and caring for trees. Old Saybrook should be a place where trees really matter.
