Responsible, Committed, Caring, and Persistent.
Deep River voters have the unique opportunity to elect a First Selectwoman with no strings attached. Elect Kathryn “Katie” Russell, and she will be beholden to no one.
Katie’s family roots run deep. She is the niece of Emy Marvin, a former selectwoman, and has been a taxpayer for 20 years, having bought the Marvin family home.
Katie is an experienced business executive with the qualifications to lead Deep River forward on day one of her election. She has an MBA from Wharton and decades of strong business management experience. She has the budget, people, and issue management skills Deep River needs. In fact, she has managed budgets of $60 million, three times the size of Deep River’s annual budget.
One of Katie’s primary objectives will be to work across party lines, involving all interested residents to ensure a diversity of thought and skill on our boards and commissions.
Katie is a people person, a communicator, and a consensus builder. She believes in moving from words to concrete action. She began meeting with Deep River merchants in June to hear their thoughts and concerns and then expanded her outreach to the neighborhoods, asking, “What’s on your mind?” Her communication skills are amazing. She cares, she listens, she follows up, and gets results. I have been fortunate enough to join her in our door-to-door efforts. By the end of this campaign, Katie will have knocked on the doors of over 1,200 Deep River residents.
I have known Katie for 40 years and can sum up her character: responsible, committed, caring, and persistent.
Choose the candidate most skilled to lead our town. Elect Kathryn Russell on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
It’s about Deep River, not politics.
