Taken the Lead
We would all certainly agree that is has been a very hot summer, coupled with a drought, and it is not over yet! How many times have I heard someone say, "It wasn't like this when I was a kid." True, it wasn't, but unfortunately climate change has arrived and it appears to be here to stay. We need to know more.
State Representative Christine Palm has taken the lead on this topic. She has been advocating legislation teaching about climate change in all Connecticut public schools for the last four years. Recently, her bill became law! In the future, as our weather continues to evolve, all Connecticut residents will benefit from having learned about the possible developments the climate may bring.
As a former educator and environmentalist, I appreciate Christine's efforts to educate our state population on climate issues and other critics topics. I strongly support her candidacy in the upcoming Tuesday, Nov. 8 election.
