Listen, Communicate, and Explain
Today, the fabric of our democracy is threatened. Voters need to remember that the people they elect are public servants and not volunteers. Elected officials must listen, communicate, and explain why they voted on the issues to their constituents.
Commissioners Alfred (Chub) Wilcox and Renee Root Shippee have consistently worked to improve the oversight role of the Police Commission. The Oct. 7 “Indefatigable Advocates” letter written by Dennis Tulimieri, Jr. was refreshing and explained the issues facing the police commission.
I encourage voters who want changes to the Police Commission to vote for Renee Root Shippee, Alfred (Chub) Wilcox, Carol Manning, Jill Notar-Francesco, and Jessica Calle.
