Knowledge, Experience, and/or Passion
It’s with great pleasure that I write in support of the full slate of Democratic candidates in November’s municipal election. The Chester Democratic Town Committee (DTC) worked diligently since February to find the best-qualified candidates to run for election, especially during these challenging times. We’re fortunate to have incumbents and new candidates willing to volunteer to serve our community and do the work necessary to ensure Chester’s health and welfare.
Kathryn (Kate) Hair is enthusiastic to be our next town clerk as she spent time working alongside our incredible Town Clerk Debra Germini Calamari to ensure this was the job for her.
Board of Finance candidates Andrew Gardner, Michael Joplin, and Michael Jordan have diverse backgrounds and extensive business and financial experience to sustain and protect our economic security.
Sarah J. Germini is an incumbent on the Board of Assessment Appeals and a first-time candidate on our ballot. Madaline Meyer is seeking to continue as tax collector.
Maria Scherber and Rebecca Greenberg-Ellis are incumbents, and I’m overjoyed with Jan Taigen joining them to run for Chester Board of Education.
Elaine Fitzgibbons, Keith Scherber, and Shubert Koong are the incumbents we need with the experience and knowledge to continue on Planning & Zoning Commission.
John DeLaura, Michael R. Peck, and Victor Fetter are experienced incumbents with Seth Cohen joining them to serve on Zoning Board Appeals.
Sandy Senior-Dauer and Karin Badger are incumbents running for the Library Board of Trustees.
Laurence (Lol) Fearon is an outstanding addition, joining me in running for Regional 4 Board of Education.
Working together with seasoned First Selectwoman Lauren Gister and Selectwoman Charlene Janecek, they all have the knowledge, experience, and/or passion to responsibly manage Chester through the ongoing challenges and into the future.
I encourage your readers to vote Row A on Nov. 2.
