Demonstrated Leadership

Noel Bishop has demonstrated leadership for Westbrook for the past decade. He has repeatedly enlisted the necessary financial support for the continued dredging of the Patchogue River that is necessary for the vitality of all our marinas. Working with federal and state political personnel, he has made this one of his highest priorities knowing that 8- to 10 percent of our local businesses depend on the success of our marinas.

An example of his leadership initiative is that on Sept. 19, he convened a meeting of all Westbrook business partners and, with more than 90 individuals present, he challenged us to identify what more all of us can do to promote their continued success. The status quo is never an option for him and by bringing community leaders together we can collectively find solutions to our issues and create our own future. As one participant said, it was an awesome event and a very vibrant business community.

I encourage your readers to re-elect Noel Bishop as our first selectman—a proven leader who gets the job done. Experience counts.
