Another Record-Breaking Event
The Friends of the Guilford Free Library (FGFL) is grateful for the support of our community for the recent annual Spring Book Sale. It was another record-breaking event, attended by many Guilford residents and many buyers who came from miles away to browse the extensive selection of donated books, music, ephemera, and collectibles offered at the sale.
Each year many friends volunteer to sort, set up, and work at the sale. The library staff generously assists on sale days and, in fact, supports the FGFL in large and small ways all year long. We have seen a steady increase in FGFL membership and a steady increase in high-quality donations. We are grateful for both!
All proceeds from the sale go to the Guilford Library to buy books—-print, audio, and electronic—and to sponsor programs and events at the library, invest in new technology, purchase museum passes, and support the development of new library spaces to accommodate new activities.
Thanks go to all—we hope to see everyone at the fall sale!
