Led the Charge
As the candidate’s husband, at first I thought it would seem a little self-serving to write a letter in support of her candidacy. On the other hand, who better to extoll her virtues as a public servant? I was there when Jean Ferris became president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce and helped pull it from near insolvency to a thriving organization benefiting our town. I was there when she led the charge for the town vote that resulted in the expansion, modernization, and beautification of the Samson Rock Drive area.
Have you taken a walk on the boardwalk along Tuxis Pond? Yes? That was Jean. Were you at endless meetings as the co-chair for the Charter Review Commission? No? Jean was. Of course, she did all this while being a vice-president and senior vice-president for several banks. Oh, did I mention being on the Bauer Farm Charitable Trust and the Sarah Seneca Residential Services Treasurer? How about Labs4Rescue and Connecticut Greyhound Adoption? Well, now I have.
It isn’t self-serving if it’s the truth.
