I recently had the privilege of attending the Branford Garden Club’s luncheon and was truly amazed by all the hard work and dedication all of their members have to this community. The Community Dining Room (CDR) has been so fortunate over the past six years to have fresh flower arrangements on our tables provided by The Branford Garden Club. This effort has been consistent with its goal of the Garden Therapy Committee to enhance the wellbeing of the community with horticultural activities. They certainly have gone above and beyond to do so for the CDR participants.
A huge thank you goes to Beth Dock who changes the water and cleans the vases mid-week so the arrangements can be maintained, and a world of thanks goes to all of the Branford Garden Club members who have participated on this committee: Barbara Derrico, Pat Concelmo, Marsha Bruce, Lenore DiGioia, Doreen Larson Oboyski, Maryanne Hall, Anne Delucia, Sue Gavejian, Maddy Burzenski, Maureen O’Brien, Laurie VanWilgen, Sue Zdanowicz, Cheryl Watson, Hedy Bastian, Bev Jurkiewicz, Michalah Bracken, Ann Freeman, Maureen Guinness, Carol Soehnlein, Janet Jackson, Eunice LaSala, Roberta McCall, Maureen Dendas, Sandy Krauss, Addie Raucci, Lorie Nichols, Linda Sinatra, Pat Sanders, Mary Alice Howley, Carol Cutrona, Marge Thompson, Paula Inglese, Irene Agonis, Sue Schaffer, Dottie Marcula, Nancy Childs, Terry Twigg, Barbara Lyons, Elizabeth Alcorn, and Shelley Kaminsky. We at CDR appreciate them all!
