Speak Out on Wall Field
This is a follow-up on letters I wrote in December in my attempt to save the Wall Field property from being developed. The Dec. 14, 2013 meeting had to be canceled due to the snow storm.
The Economic Development Commission has now rescheduled that meeting for Saturday,
Jan. 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the North Branford Intermediate School cafeteria. I hope to see a good turnout of our citizens to voice their feelings on the subject. It is important.
Years ago, the North Branford Center had been declared a historical district; so much for that. In came the state with its Route 80 widening project that had destroyed the historical center. It is too late to do anything about that now, but the old Wall Field area for the most part is still here. I would like to see the Wall Field property preserved for a future park or at least open space and not allow our town fathers and mothers to sell it for commercial development.
We need your readers to speak out and voice their ideas at this meeting. I hope to see them all there.
