Guilford field hockey was the 16th seed in the Class M State Tournament and took a 6-0 loss to top-ranked Wilton in the first round on Nov. 4 to finish its year 5-10-2-1 overall.
The Indians say good-bye to six seniors in co-captain MacKenzie Cattaruzza (First Team All-SCC), Anna Strait (Second Team All-SCC), co-captain Sarah Russell, Bryanna Occhiboi, Natalia Provolo, and Phoebe Kebabian. The youth of Guilford looks to rise next season following seeing plenty of the field this year.
"It was a year where a lot of underclassmen received playing time in hopes that this experience will pay off in the coming years," said Head Coach Kitty Palmer.
