Annemarie Bellagamba, a resident of Guilford, formerly of Ridgefield, passed away at her home on Aug. 20. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Evo Bellagamba, lifelong resident of Ridgefield.
Annemarie was born in Astoria, New York, on July 31, 1939, daughter of the late Adolf and Lori Gaub. She was the loving mother of Lisa Baltronis (husband Joseph) of Southwick, Massachusetts, Kim Wrobel (husband John) of Gloucester, Massachusetts, and Debbie Bellagamba (spouse Nancy) of Newtown. She is also survived by four beautiful grandchildren, David and Eva Vallerie, and Grace and Jacob Takvorian; and her most loved twin sister Rosemarie St. John. She also leaves the following nieces and nephews and their families (whom she held most dear), Lori, Tunc, Darin, and Erin Tavgac; Linda and Ralph Bennett; Brent, Barbie, Ford, Mary, Brent, Jr., and Tyler St. John; and Brad, Olivia, Tonetta, Brouke, Sandy, and Blake St. John. She was deceased by her sister Eleanor Parker.
Before retirement, Annemarie worked as an entrepreneur in the home improvement industry and was a master seamstress and taught sewing lessons. She enjoyed her beautiful home overlooking the lake with beautiful flowers and birds, cooking, and sewing, and she was a health and fitness fanatic! She received immeasurable joy spending time with her grandchildren, daughters, and their families, and her friends and neighbors; she embraced life and loved much.
Annie loved gardening in the spring and decorating with brilliant lights and colors during the Christmas season. Another passion of Annie’s was cooking and sharing her recipes and creations with her neighbors and friends. She even wrote her own cookbook, which included many of her father’s recipes (as he was a master chef also and from whom she learned). These treasures will remain for her family and loved ones for years to come.
Friends are invited to a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Copps Hill Road in Ridgefield on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Guilford Animal Shelter, 400 Church St., Guilford, CT 06437, https://guilfordpd.com/animal-control/.
