Owners Billy DiCrosta and Neil Fuentes have opened New Haven Academy of Performing Arts, the only performing arts school in the state to teach the Mix Technique by International Voice Teachers of Mix. The technique provides students with the ability to master many styles of music and have a full range with no breaks. In addition, the New Haven Academy of Performing Arts offers the best technique for each instrument it teaches, including teaching students how to read the audience, deliver a song, connect to the lyrics, and other skills. There is no semester minimum for lessons; each student is enrolled on a month-to-month basis. The teaching staff includes American Idol finalist Erin Christine.
The academy is equipped with a professional parents' lounge featuring free Wi-Fi, a 55-inch LED TV, and coffee and tea service.
