Cougars Kick Off Their Winter Campaign
Boys’ Basketball
The Haddam-Killingworth boys’ basketball team started off its season by playing a road game versus Valley Regional last week. The Cougars took a defeat against the Warriors for an 0-1 start to the campaign.
On Dec. 18, H-K traveled to Deep River to square off with Valley Regional for its first contest of the season. H-K lost to the Warriors by the final score of 63-33 at Valley Regional High School.
Girls’ Basketball
The Haddam-Killingworth girls’ basketball team played two games during the opening week of the 2021-’22 winter season. The Cougars took a defeat to Cromwell and then lost to Valley Regional to start off the year at 0-2.
On Dec. 16, H-K played a road game versus Cromwell and took a 50-27 loss against the Panthers. Two days later, the Cougars hosted Valley Regional and dropped a 54-37 decision versus the Warriors.
Boys’ Ice Hockey
The Rocky Hill/Middletown/Plainville/H-K boys’ ice hockey team gained a split in its first two games of the winter season.
On Dec. 15, the team took a 3-2 home loss against E.O. Smith in its season opener at Champions Skating Center. Then on Dec. 18, the squad claimed a 7-1 win versus Northeastern in a road game at Bolton Ice Palace.
