Scranton Shops 2 Fundraiser Will Benefit Scranton Library
The E.C. Scranton Memorial Library is joining with local vendors to launch the second annual Scranton Shops, a fundraising event to benefit Scranton Library’s annual operating budget. This year’s Scranton Shops 2! will be held on Friday, June 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison.
The $50 entrance fee includes wine tasting and nibbles, live music, and the opportunity to shop for home décor, clothing, books, candles, soaps, and more, plus a chance to win 7 to 10 nights’ accommodations on a Caribbean Island (restrictions may apply).
Tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/scrantonshops2 or at the door. Everyone is welcome. For more information about Scranton Shops 2!, visit scrantonlibrary.org or call the library at 203-245-7365.
Scranton Director Sunnie Scarpa said the library is very excited to have in-person events again and encouraged residents to come out for this event.
“I’m so excited for the return of Scranton Shops! We were really thrilled with how the community embraced the event last year and came out to support both the library and the local small business community. Opportunities to gather as a community seem even more precious now then they did a few years ago and we can’t wait to see everyone,” said Scarpa.
“Scranton Shops is an opportunity to showcase the versatility of the library building, support local businesses, as well as raise funds for Scranton Library’s annual operating budget,” said Library Board President Nicole Wiles. “We welcome everyone to attend this fundraising event and support the library’s mission.”
A community resource since 1901, the Scranton Memorial Library’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all Madison residents by providing access to information, fostering lifelong educational and cultural learning, and cultivating relationships among residents through the exchange of ideas.
