This lesson in the pitfalls of ego, greed, and power reads like a cross between the science fiction of Robin Cook and Michael Crichton. But the story is all too true. This Wall Street Journal reporter does a creditable job of unmasking the almost-too-amazing-to-be-true story of Elizabeth Holmes and her company, Theranos. The company proved to be a ruthless entrepreneurial enterprise that sacrificed public wellbeing for fame and fortune.
