Raise Your Hand for Old Saybrook -- Online Community Auction

Golf for Two with Old Saybrook's First Selectman Carl Fortuna is one of many items in the Old Saybrook Community Auction.

The Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce has launched an online community auction to raise funds for small businesses and non-profits impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Starting June 25 and running through July 16, the public may bid on an exciting range of items, such as virtual cooking classes, fitness classes and memberships, a private movie screening at The Kate, golf outings, including a round of golf for two with Old Saybrook’s First Selectman Carl Fortuna, and even a tandem skydive jump.

“The response from people wanting to help the community has been tremendous,” according to the Chamber’s Executive Director, Judy Sullivan. Our small businesses have always been there in support of so many causes over the years. They are what makes this community the vibrant place that it is. This is our chance to return the favor and support them.”

The monies raised will be distributed equally amongst eligible applicants who may apply through an online application. Businesses or non-profits based in Old Saybrook and/or a current member of the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce, and with less than 50 full time employees may be eligible.
