and donates a portion of sales to the Branford Food Pantry until 4/30/20.

Branford, CT (March 28, 2020) - Painted by the Shore is excited to announce a new addition to their locally known art classes- Virtual Workshops. Upon signing up through their website, www.paintedbytheshore.com, guests will be mailed a complete kit that includes everything they need to create a project from the comfort of home, including an invitation to join an interactive virtual step-by-step, where Painted by the Shore Instructor(s) will guide guests to create their own piece of art with Painted by the Shore materials, all via video.

“Virtual Workshops have been something I’ve wanted to pursue since launching our DIY in a BOX home craft line in 2018. But it wasn’t until things slowed down, & we were advised to stay home that we had the time to bring that concept to life.” says Painted by the Shore’s Founder, Kristina Lough. “It was also important that we continue to work with our local venue partners, even if we can’t collaborate on our usual monthly Paint & Sips right now. So upon ordering Virtual Workshops through our website, guests will also soon be able to choose to pick up their kits locally, at several CT Vineyards/Wineries we work with, & enjoy a wine bottle discount when doing so. It’s a great way to support two small businesses simultaneously during this difficult time.”

Next up? Private Virtual Workshops, where 5 or more loved ones can come together digitally, regardless of where they live in the US, to socialize & paint together. “Though gathering may not look how it did earlier this year, we all deserve to still carve out a bit of time to be social, in a safe way, & get a fun piece of Spring decor or usable art in the process.” Lough continues.

With over 11,000 guests having visited Painted by the Shore public workshops to date, and hundreds more that have crafted at home with their kits, Painted by the Shore has become a community DIY go-to. Regularly holding fundraisers to benefit organizations such as: the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, National Forest Foundation, local sports teams and the Mercy Lung Cancer Screening Program. “And we’ll continue to support our community through our new Virtual Workshop project, donating 5% of Company sales until 4/30/20 to the Branford Food Pantry,” says Lough.
