Menorah Lighting and Jewish Folk Music Concert on the Branford Green

Branford—Celebrate the first night of Chanukah on the Branford Green on Sunday, Dec 22. The annual menorah lighting will take place at 4:00 PM, followed by a Chanukah party at the historic Academy on the Green. Enjoy delicious Chanukah refreshments, fun activities for the kids, and a special concert of Jewish folk music with Gedalya Sloshay, whose music is a heartwarming experience that weaves together original songs and masterful storytelling. No charge; sponsorships welcome.

Chanukah Puppet Show at Guilford Free Library followed by Menorah Lighting on Guilford Green

Guilford—Celebrate the last night of Chanukah on Sunday, December 29 on the Guilford Green! From 2:30-3:30 PM will be a Chanukah party and puppet show at the Guilford Free Library, then at 3:30 PM we take the party outside by lighting the menorah on the Green. Anita Sobel of Talking Hands Theater presents her handmade puppets in “The Mystery of Hanukkah Harry.” The audience will follow (and help!) friends Joshua and Danny as they seek the elusive Hanukkah Harry by solving clues. This family show for all ages reveals the true Chanukah miracle that lies in our hearts. Delicious holiday refreshments will be served. No charge; sponsorships welcome.
