On May 3rd, the Soundview Family YMCA in Branford will join with BHcare, a local behavioral health organization, to display artwork from an array of mediums, created by BHcare’s OPTIONS Social Club members. Guests will witness a variety of artistic talents from individuals in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.
BHcare, a nonprofit organization based in Branford, is hosting the Art Show to celebrate and raise awareness for May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The art show will take place on Friday, May 3 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be available to patrons.
The art show is free and everyone in the local community is invited! BHcare and members of OPTIONS Social Club hope to use this as an opportunity to help educate the community about mental health and to give talented clients an opportunity to show their work to their communities.
