DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (DAR) HONOR LOCAL AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS


High school students honored are, from left: Benjamin Lodewick of Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge; Alexandra Fernandez of Metropolitan Business Academy in New Haven; Sajdah Abdul-Karim of Hamden High School; Megan Paterson of West Haven High School; Lauren Nicole Elmasry of Branford High School; Marley Britt Herard of East Haven High School; Francesco Spirli of North Haven High School; Christa Nuzzo of Hill Regional Career High School in New Haven; and Denisel Cerda of Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven.

The Mary Clap Wooster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, based in New Haven, recently honored nine area high school students with the GOOD CITIZENS AWARD at an awards ceremony and luncheon. Chosen by their respective schools, each student consistently demonstrates good citizenship, leadership, service, honor and courage. Parents, family members, and school representatives were in attendance, and each student received a Good Citizens certificate, a pin, and a check for $200. Congratulations to our future leaders of America!
