Participants will learn ways to engage in an open, honest, and age-appropriate talk about sex and healthy relationships. Participants will learn responses they could offer to teen comments, as well as conversation openers.

The program is free - 12 spots available. To register call OSYFS at 860-395-3190

Why It Matters

• 47% of U.S. high school students have had sexual intercourse.

• 1 in 2 teens surveyed have compromised personal beliefs to please the person they are dating

• 25% of teens have been called names by the person they are dating through text messages

As the primary sexuality educator for your child, it’s important to remember that communication about relationships and sexuality is an ongoing process that can support your child’s health.

Many parents and guardians need assistance to build their comfort and skill level in order to have open, positive, and balanced communication with their children.

It’s not always comfortable providing this information to our kids, and we’re here to support you with Real Life, Real Talk.

Through education and effective support, young people can adopt healthy and safe behaviors in both their developmental experiences and intimate experiences.
