Branford Assembly #19, IORG, is Honored with Four State Appointments


At the 80th Grand Assembly of Connecticut sessions, Branford Assembly #19 was honored with four statewide appointments. Three girls received appointments as Grand Officers and one girl was appointed as a Grand Representative.

Branford, Connecticut March 21, 2017 – Four members of Branford Assembly #19, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, were recognized and appointed with statewide offices at the 80th annual Grand Assembly conference. The conference was held in Cromwell, Connecticut, March 17-19 and brought together over 75 active Connecticut members. The conference closed with the Installation of these newly appointed officers for the 2017-2018 term year.

Three Branford Assembly members were appointed to Grand Officer positions. Maia Ridley, a Past Worthy Advisor, who currently resides in Newtown, was appointed as Grand Love and Lecturer. Victoria Romprey, current Worthy Advisor of Branford #19 and resident of New Haven was appointed Grand Fidelity. Ashley Pavelko, a past Worthy Advisor who resides in Ansonia was appointed Grand Patriotism. Sarah Memmott of Branford was appointed Grand Representative to Aruba and North Dakota.

As Grand Officers, Ridley, Romprey and Pavelko will be expected to travel the state and participate in initiation ceremonies throughout the year. Memmott will be required to communicate with Rainbow Girls from the Grand Jurisdictions of Aruba and North Dakota in hopes of strengthening the ties of sisterhood.

Branford Assembly’s Advisory Board, which consists of 7 men and women, recommended the four girls to the state committee for appointment for the 2017-2018 term year. The advisory board is responsible for oversight of the girls as they perform community service projects, recruit new members, and run formal business meetings.

During the annual Grand Assembly conference, several graduating seniors from across the state received college scholarships, as well as, special awards given to members for Ritual, Membership, Service and Traveling. New statewide charity initiatives and plans were also announced.
