OSYFS Announces Registration is Open for Several Recreational & Skill-Building Activities for Youth

Registration is now open for summer programming offered by Old Saybrook Youth and Family Services. Happily, there is something going on for youth from birth right up through 12th grade! For information on these programs, contact OSYFS at 860-395-3190 or email yfs@OldSaybrookCT.gov. More information and registration links are also available on the agency's website: www.oldsaybrookct.org/youth. Please note some programs are limited to Old Saybrook residents.

Programs currently offered (sorted by age or grade level) and their start dates:

* Toddler Tunes (birth to 30 months) starting Tuesday, July 7th

* Friendship 101 (kindergarten & 1st grade) starting Tuesday, July 14th

* Friendship 101 (grades 2 - 4) starting Monday, July 13th

* Youth Art Booth (ages 8 - college age) July 25 & 26

* Shoes Group - relational skill-building (grades 4-5) starting starting Tuesday, June 23rd

* Youth Summer Stock Theater (entering grades 6 - 9) starting Monday, July 6th

* Teen Trips (entering grades 7 - 12) various dates - register through Parks & Recreation

* Chill Group - mindfullness & emotional regulation (girls entering grades 9 - 12) Starting Wednesday, June 24th

* Acting Technique: Character Development & Scene Study (entering grades 10 - 12) starting Friday, July 10th

The Summer Community Service Projects are already at maximum registration.

OSYFS is also coordinating applications for scholarships to attend Camp CONNRI (ages 7 - 13) while OS Social Services is coordinating applications for scholarships to attend OS Parks & Recreation camp.
