Amanda Bernier is a firefighter in Madison diagnosed with ALS (AKA Lou Gerhig’s disease) the day she found out she was pregnant with her first baby. She has the most aggressive form of the disease and was given a life expectancy is 1 to 1.5 years. Happily, she just had a healthy baby, however she continues to need help taking care of her escalating medical bills. A group of friends formed Amanda’s Angels to help coordinate the fundraising efforts.
