12/04/2023 11:48 AMMadison Hoop Dreams will host three days of basketball camp during the Christmas school vacation on Wednesday, Dec. 27, Thursday, Dec. 28, and Friday, Dec. 29. The program directors are encouraging everyone to register early, as there is a limit of 60 campers each day. More information and registration is at www.madisonhoopdreams.com.
Players can attend any or all of the dates, as holiday scheduling allows, and Madison Hoop Dreams suggests making the camp part of the holiday giving season.
The Christmas Holiday camps on Dec. 27, 28, and 29 will be held at H-K Middle School (451 CT 81, Killingworth), and campers will develop their basketball skills in game situations while having fun and motivating their love of basketball with exciting competition from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Each day will start with drills on the fundamentals of basketball — dribbling, passing, shooting form, boxing out, and other essentials. After the fundamentals, the remainder of the day is devoted to putting the fundamentals into action with basketball games. Players get instruction as they are playing. The result is excitement, fun, and improvement. Players become more confident in their ability and more dedicated to practicing and improving.
Enrollment will be limited to 20 players in grades 3-4, 20 in grades 5-6, and 20 in grades 7-9. Players can attend any days that fit their schedule, but the program hopes to have as many players join for all three days as able. For the Christmas camps, the cost is $50 if you attend for one day, $45 for your second day, and $40 for your third day.
