Boys’ Soccer Falls in State Semis, Volleyball Pushes to the Finals

Boys’ Soccer

H-K boys’ soccer faced No. 2 Shepaug Valley in the semifinals of the Class S State Tournament on Nov. 14, taking a 1-0 loss in the contest.

Earning All-Shoreline honors for the team were Cole Merriam (First Team), Ryan Lasusa (First Team), Phin Merriam (Second Team), Tetsu Imai (Second Team), and Ben Werner (Honorable Mention).

Field Hockey

Ava Ramino was named to the All-Shoreline Conference First Team for the Cougars field hockey squad, as was Téa Norman. Norman also received the Patsy Kamercia Award. Jaimey DiNapoli and Chloe Oboma were named to the Second Team, while Brigitte Battistoni was an Honorable Mention.

Girls’ Volleyball

In the semifinals of the Class S State Tournament on Nov. 14, H-K girls’ volleyball defeated No. 8 Holy Cross by a score of 3-0.

Reese Timothy was named to the All-Shoreline Conference First Team, and was also named Player of the Year for the conference. Ava Mazzotta earned Second Team honors, and Sammy Minickene was an Honorable Mention.
