H-K’s Soccer Squads Post Shutouts; Field Hockey Picks Up Some Points

Football

The H-K football team hit the road to face Cromwell/Portland on Oct. 27 and took a 48-12 loss. Bryce Lacoss tossed two touchdown passes for H-K, one to Josh Frith (five yards) and the other to Joe Slane (19 yards).

“We came out flat and put ourselves in a hole right away. You can’t do that against a good team like Cromwell,” said H-K Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “We rallied for two touchdowns in the second quarter and then held them scoreless in the second half, so I like the way our kids never quit.”

Boys’ soccer had one game last week, traveling to Coginchaug on Oct. 25 and notching a 5-0 victory.
